I did a little Disney trip planning for our upcoming trip.
I placed an order for groceries through Garden Grocer. If you are in need of groceries or baby items when you are traveling to Walt Disney World I highly recommend Garden Grocer’s service . I discovered Garden Grocer after deciding that I did not want to have to try and pack diapers, wipies and baby food the first time we took Birdie to Disney. They have great service and I’ve always been pleased with delivery and how the order was packed. Their delivery charge is a little steep at $14.00 and then a tip of course is suggested on top of that, but I still think Garden Grocer is worth it.
In addition to the grocery order, I also place an order for a full size crib from A Baby’s Best Friend in the Orlando area. I have not tried out this company yet, so once we return I will include a review of it in my trip report. I thought I would try out this company as opposed to another company I have used in the past because although you have to assemble the crib, they deliver to bell services and you need not be present for delivery.
I found out that in addition to horseback riding at the Tri-Circle D Ranch in Fort Wildness, they have pony rides available for kids ages 2-8 and under 80 pounds…need to protect those ponies’ backs! We are staying at Bay Lake Towers at the Contemporary Resort. There is a boat that loops from the Contemporary to Fort Wilderness and the Wilderness Lodge. I also understand that the ranch is very close to the boat dock so there won’t be a long trek to the ponies. I’m excited to take the Birdie for a pony ride!
Another new thing we are going to try (and this might be a mistake given the late hour) is the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise. For an additional fee the party starts in a banquet room of the Contemporary, there are snacks and Captain Hook and Mr. Smee mingle with the guests. Then you board a boat to watch the fireworks from Seven Seas Lagoon. Once back at the dock Peter Pan is waiting to greet the guests. Birdie is going to LOVE this! As long as she can stay awake! Fingers crossed!
