Saturday morning we packed up and headed out early for a three hour road trip to Columbus. It is amazing to me it’s the end of June and it was only 60 degrees out, not to mention monsoon like rain and terrible wind gusts. Our first stop was to the American Girl store at Easton. We had an 11:00 appointment with Suzy, an AG personal shopper. She was very knowledge and patient with Birdie. Good thing because Birdie was very overwhelmed! She had her heart set on itty bitty boy/girl twins but there was so much to see. She’s too young I believe to understand the different era dolls, but the bitty twins are right up her alley!
After we were finished at American Girl, we went to our hotel, ate some lunch and then headed back out to shop some more at Easton. I ended up trying on some downplay capri pants at Athleta, however they were out of my size so I had to order them. They are probably the most comfortable pants I have ever tried on.
We ate at Cheesecake Factory for dinner and then took a ride to see the OSU campus and throw a few back on High Street<—-joking! I’m not even going to pretend I could hang back in those days any more! Even though it’s summer we did see a few ‘porch parties’ going on, it did make me think back to some good times I had while attending BG!
